The Adams County Business-Education Partnership is seeking support from area employers who are willing to help teachers prepare students, K - 12, for careers in the Adams County workplace.

Please review this list of opportunities for work-based learning activities and check off those your company will support.
Business Assistance in the Classroom Examples: provide a guest speaker, evaluate student activities or projects, assist with employability skills, e.g. job search strategies, resume writing, interviewing, explaining an aspect of the working world as it relates to classroom work, etc.

Company Tour/Visit Assist students by introducing them to the working environment.
Job Shadowing A student spends time with a worker in the workplace observing daily activities and asking questions about the job and industry.
Career Fair Employers participate in the annual Adams County Career Fair providing information about their professions.
Mentorship Mentor a junior or senior in high school by developing a supportative relationship to help the student in making a successful transition from student to worker. Training is provided..
Educator in the Workplace Offer schoolteachers / administrators workplace experiences (30 hours min.) during the summer.
Work – Based Opportunities Training on the job site through apprenticeships, internships, cooperative education, or diversified occupation experiences.
Mock Interviews Work with High School English teachers to provide seniors mock interviews in the high school or your business location.
Mini Grant Assistance Provide financial assistance to the Business Education Partnership Mini Grant program. Students in grades K – 12 learn about careers through awareness, exploration, and specialization.
